Good food, a good cause, and a whole lot of flavor – again!

Greensboro EATS: Plates with Purpose is a signature initiative of the Junior League of Greensboro dedicated to addressing food insecurity, childhood hunger, and the challenges faced by those living in food deserts across Guilford County. Through advocacy, education, and community partnerships, Greensboro EATS harnesses the collective power of our 600+ members to drive meaningful, lasting change.

In Spring 2025, the Junior League of Greensboro proudly launched the inaugural Plates with Purpose, a chef-driven tasting experience that brought together Greensboro’s culinary community, League members, and supporters for an evening centered on food, fellowship, and impact. The sold-out event was held at the Greensboro Science Center and raised critical funds to support our community programs focused on food security—setting the stage for what has become a cornerstone event of our League year. The second annual event, held in April 2026 at the Cadillac Service Garage, was also a huge success that celebrated the creativity and generosity of local chefs while bringing our community together around a shared purpose: ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for families across Guilford County.
