President’s Message
Welcome to the 99th year of the Junior League of Greensboro!

As we enter the 99th year of the Junior League of Greensboro, we do so with immense pride in the legacy that brought us here and genuine excitement for the future ahead. For nearly a century, generations of women have dedicated their time, talents, and leadership to creating meaningful community impact throughout Greensboro. Because of their vision and commitment, our League continues to evolve, grow, and meet the changing needs of our community.
This year represents far more than a milestone. It’s a powerful bridge between our storied history and the next century of service, leadership and impact.
Building upon the momentum of the 98 years before us, we are expanding our impact through Greensboro EATS, our initiative focused on addressing food insecurity and childhood hunger in Guilford County. What began as a vision to educate, engage, and mobilize our community continues to grow in purposeful and meaningful ways. Through the continued expansion of Plates with Purpose and the launch of Play with Purpose: Growing Healthy Futures, we are creating new opportunities to unite families, volunteers, community partners, and local leaders around one shared mission: ensuring children and families have access to the nourishment, support and resources they need to thrive.
As we deepen our community impact, we remain equally committed to our mission of developing women leaders. The strength of the Junior League has always been rooted in the women who step forward to serve, lead, innovate, and inspire change. Every project launched, partnership built, and volunteer hour contributed reflects the passion, resilience, and dedication of women who are committed to doing a world of good throughout Greensboro.
Our 99th year is both a celebration and a call to action. It is an opportunity to honor the women who paved the way while boldly preparing for our centennial year and the future beyond it. Together, we will continue strengthening our community, empowering the next generation of leaders, and ensuring the Junior League of Greensboro’s legacy of impact endures for generations to come.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey and helping grow our mission of empowering women to do a world of good.
Ellen Devine, President 2026-2027
