How to Join

The Junior League is an organization of empowered women developing leadership skills and directly impacting the Greensboro community, while making meaningful connections and good friends along the way. Our League has more than 600 volunteers of all ages, stages and backgrounds. Our members share a single passion: to make a difference in Greensboro, North Carolina. We’d love for you to join our dedicated, passionate, mission-driven membership.

Before You Apply: Attend a Membership Event (Optional)

Throughout the year, JLG hosts events for potential members to get to know the League and our members. We are excited to meet you at the Summer 2026 Meet & Greets. If you can’t make any of the events listed below, email membershipjlg@gmail.com to connect with our membership team one-on-one.

Join for the First Time

Our League welcomes new members twice a year: in September and in January. Applications are now open for the Fall 2026 Provisional Class! To apply for the next provisional class:

  1. Review our membership requirements
  2. Complete the online application by September 8, 2026
  3. Please submit the non-refundable payment of $276 (Fall class) or $201 (Spring class) in one of the following ways:
    • Credit Card: Via Member Essentials or email us to receive a personal invoice
    • Venmo: @JLGreensboro (put “Provisional Dues” in the memo)
    • Check: Mail to Junior League of Greensboro (3101 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27408)

Transfer to Our League

Have you recently moved to Greensboro or are relocating to the area? Any current Junior League member in good standing at any Junior League in the world is eligible to transfer to the Junior League of Greensboro (JLG). To begin the process:

  1. A written request to transfer must be sent to your existing Junior League. Contact information for any League can be found at the AJLI website.
  2. Transfer requests are processed through the AJLI online system. You will receive an email confirmation from AJLI that your transfer has been processed.
  3. Once your transfer is initiated and approved by the transferring League, a member of the JLG membership team will contact you as soon as possible.
