Mission
The Junior League of Greensboro is an organization of women whose shared mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the Greensboro community.

As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 1928, the Junior League of Greensboro plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the Greensboro community.
Reaching Out

Position Statements
- The Junior League of Greensboro, North Carolina, Inc., deems the following elements essential to a healthy community: environment; family and children; voluntarism and community; diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; and women and women’s health.
- The Junior League of Greensboro, North Carolina, Inc., supports quality public education, improving literacy, safe and healthy housing, access to basic needs, community enrichment, and establishing positive role models and mentors.

Our Impact
- Local Impact: Right now, our primary focus of food insecurity requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. Through our new initiative GreensboroEATS, we will collaborate with our community partners to raise awareness about food insecurity and strive to reduce hunger in the Greensboro community through direct volunteer action and programming. We are committed to empowering children and families in our community so that they can live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. - Training Impact: Our training programs empower our members with essential skills and knowledge, enabling them to make a meaningful impact in our community and grow professionally and personally. By providing members with specialized training, we foster leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
